Last Pool Party of the Year

Go big or go home because now is your last chance. Summer is winding down and school is back in session. It doesn’t matter if you were the king or queen of your neighborhood pool parties back in July, now is the time to throw that party everyone will be talking about until the warm months come back.

Here in Austin, the live music capital of the world, we prefer live music for our parties. If you can, find a local band to play your pool party. People will love it and bands don’t typically get to play such unique shows like the last pool party of the summer.

Make sure to document your event with pictures and videos. Edit them up after the party and send them out via social media. Start planning for next years pool party right now!

Think its gonna be a rager? Make sure you set up some sort of RSVP system using Meetup.com and get in touch with all your neighbors or neighborhood association about laws pertaining to noise, capacity, alcohol, and insurance.

Just because this will be the last pool party of the year doesn’t mean you should skimp on the safety. Remember to have a good time but don’t let your friends who have had too much of a good time. If need be, use services like Uber or Lyft to help friends get home safe. Provide adequate lighting if your pool party is planned for long into the night. Makes sure any electrical wires you’re using are safe, out of the way, and well maintained.

Have kids coming to the party? Consider investing in extra floaties or pool side gating.
